Alongside the creation of new artwork, certain tools and equipment were needed to complete the three areas of research.
Outside of identifying the areas of manufacturing, the next step was to see which mold making/casting process would work for each group of objects.
A couple of tests proved useful as the objects for bronze ended up not being cast in sand. Whereas, the salt castings could only survive the thermal contraction in a green sand mold.
The utility knife was used in a number of different processes to reveal the best approach for each sub section of research.
